Being a prolific writer, especially of Catechism he founded the “Catholic Truth Society” of Manila in 1926, to publish Catholic literature, mainly for youth.
He is the author of 25 religious books and booklets, and also nine text books officially recognized for use in schools. His outstanding religious book is “My Catholic Faith” later entitled “Our Catholic Faith”. Some of his books have been translated worldwide into more than 40 languages and dialects, with millions of copies circulated.
He was ordained Bishop of Krishnagar, West Bengal in 1939 by Pope Pius XII in Rome. He continued as Bishop of Krishnagar for long 30 years, during which he built up the diocese through his selfless services. For 12 years he was commissioner of Krishnagar municipality. Bishop Morrow was an active and effective council Father at the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council of 1962-1965. He was an ardent promoter of vernacular liturgy.
After retirement from the diocese, he continued reviving his books. With great zeal he promoted the use of inclusive language in liturgy and publication. He was called to his eternal reward on 31st August 1987.
